This charming little park once belonged to the adjacent Károlyi palace, which was the home of Mihály Károlyi, Hungarian prime minister in 1918. Today, the park is popular among families with small kids, as there is a playground with swings and climbing frames and a sandpit with slide.
It's a great place to enjoy a little greenery in the center of the city, just a couple of blocks from the Hungarian National Museum.
Getting to Károlyi Gardens: Take Subway (M2) to Astoria or Subway (M3) to Ferenciek tere and take the short walk over to Károlyi Gardens
