Koliba is a city forest located on one of the hills around Bratislava, and is only a 10 minute bus ride from the center.
In the summer it is a nice place for hiking and grilling out. In the winter there is a place where basic skiing, snowboarding, and sledding can be done.
There is a chairlift ("lanovka" in Slovak) nearby which takes you 20 minutes through the woods to the Zelezna Studienka area of Partizanska Luka (also mentioned on this website). The chair lift operates during the summer and takes passengers on a pleasant 20 minute ride (each way) through the woods. The trip through the wooded hills of Bratislava in pleasant weather is a nice experience.
Also nearby are a few stands that sell food and drinks as well as the Kamzik TV tower, which can be seen from around Bratislava and houses a restaurant.
Lanoland is a ropes course is located there.
The ropes course is open during warmer months, usually April through October, Tuesday-Friday 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. Saturday-Sunday and Holidays 11a.m. - 7p.m. The course may close when there is bad weather.

Ropes course admission for adults is € 8, students € 6.50, and children € 5. You can be joined by an instructor on the course to offer you guidance for an extra € 3. Every 1/2 hour extra costs € 2, The entire course can be rented out for € 120.
To get to Koliba on public transportation take the 203 from the Presidential Palace to the end stop Koliba, which is about 10 minutes. From there follow the paved road up and to the left for about 15 minutes, being sure to ask for directions along the way. Cars are allowed to drive up Koliba and a taxi ride from the center would be 10 to 15 minutes.
