Koller Gallery (Budapest)
Budapeste . Margitsziget Island . Hungria

Founded in 1953, Koller Gallery is the oldest private gallery in Hungary. They focus on modern and contemporary art, featuring Hungarian artists. The gallery's late founder György Koller, an art collector and art lover, exhibited the works of some great Hungarian masters throughout the years, like István Szőnyi, Bertalan Por, István Csók, Miklós Borsos and Imre Varga. Their works are still part of the collection.

Koller Gallery is located in the former home of the renowned Hungarian-Italian sculptor Amerigo Tot. The Amerigo Tot Memorial Room and Permanent Exhibition is on the third floor. Numerous artworks and some of his personal belongings are on display. A small, renaissance-style sculpture garden is also part of the gallery.

In addition to its rich permanent collection the gallery features various exhibitions throughout the year. Art appraisal and artworks for sale are also available. The Koller award, supporting young artists, is given annually to the most promising new Hungarian talent.
