O acampamento é ideal como um acampamento base para excursões a pé nas montanhas Tafjord, Breheimen e Jotunheimen. Para excursões nos arredores diretos, temos o Lundadal, Tundradal e Aursjøen.
O acampamento também é um bom ponto principal para excursões de um dia aos fiordes.
São apenas 78 km até os fiordes de Geiranger e 100 km até Stryn.
